You Will Fail Affiliate Marketing Without These Two Master Skills

In this blog post, you are going to learn the 2 master skills, when it comes to affiliate marketing. Throughout this entire blog post, I want to share with you what these 2 master skills are, share with you how you can introduce them into your business, and ultimately, take your affiliate marketing off the ground and get started, or even take your affiliate marketing business to the next level.

These 2 master skills, if done correctly, can make a significant difference in the success of your efforts when it comes to affiliate marketing.

Firstly.... What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is the process of you getting a commission if you recommend a product or a service to someone else, who then go through your unique traffic link, then the product or service which you are recommending or promoting, is then tracked that you got that potential customer. What this allows you to do is make some income without actually having a product or service yourself. You may be using some products or services right now that you value, use or pay for, and you may not have a service or product, so you don't have to worry about the sales page, the customer support, the delivery of the particular product or service, and you by signing up to their affiliate programme, will allow you to get a unique traffic link which is assigned to you, then, if you were able to get people to go through that link, and they sign up for a product or service, then you may get a commission. 

Ability Attraction 

The first master skill is your ability attraction. If you are going to recommend successfully a product or a service, you need to have someone who you are recommending to, and the only way that you can do that, is to push out. The wrong way of doing affiliate marketing is spamming, inboxes, Facebook groups that aren't yours, you push out - like cold-calling. You push out into people's DMS, LinkedIn, Instagram - you are just pushing out to people you don't know, and they don't know you, and you are basically just trying to sell them on something. It's cold-calling. That is not going to work, and people hate that. 

On the flip side of that, there is what we call attraction marketing. This is the ability to attract people to you. Now how do you do that? There are a couple of ways you can master the art of attraction. 

It is all based around value

It is value that you are putting out in the marketplace. This is through the means of content creation. This is you just providing value to the people you are trying to serve. Whatever product or service you are recommending and trying to sell a part of your affiliate marketing journey, there are going to be people within that community that are looking for support, so that you have the ability to support people within that community which might be suitable for that product or service.

If you start with value, if you start with creating videos, tutorials, if you start sharing different tips and tricks, if you create as much value out in the world as much as possible, whether that is YouTube videos, Facebook groups, Instagram - you are providing value to people. People are naturally going to find you. 

Promotion 

As you are attracting people to you, your online assets, whether that is your YouTube channel, whether that is your blog, whether that is your Instagram, LinkedIn, you are naturally going to be attracting people to you, and building a relationship with you, based on trust, value, support, and everything which you have provided. Then, what you can do, is you can start to promote different affiliate campaigns, different affiliate programmes, services, products that you are associating with. One of the things you can do in terms of mastering promotion is to always be focused on value-based, value added content experiences which can get some real results, like share your ups and downs, and share your journey, and share how you are using tools. Then, what you can do is you can begin to potentially create additional resources around that particular product. 

If you are starting to build that relationship, you can begin to just say, that if they were to go through this affiliate link, then they would have access to different bonus, whether that is additional training, a PDF guide, anything which is supportive around that particular product.
